This is the professional format — a dry powder that only becomes a mask once a therapist mixes it. Each of the five 30 g sachets is a single full-face treatment built on algin and potassium alginate (the seaweed gums that set into a peelable rubber sheet), calcium sulfate and tetrasodium pyrophosphate as the setting system, and diatomaceous earth as the mineral body that draws oil and loosened debris off the skin as the mask cures. Centella asiatica leaf/stem powder at 1,000 ppm, purslane, allantoin and sodium hyaluronate are carried in the same powder, so the rubberised sheet holds them against the face under an occlusive seal for the whole working time. It answers a problem cream masks cannot: skin that is hot, flushed and congested after extraction, waxing, shaving or a strong acid step, where the treatment room needs a cooling, sealing finish rather than another leave-on layer.

Key Benefits

  • Alginate rubber-mask chemistry — algin plus potassium alginate, set by calcium sulfate — cures into a single flexible sheet that lifts off in one piece, so there is no rinse-down and no wet mess in a treatment bed.
  • Occlusion drives the cooling effect: the sheet traps water at the surface and drops skin temperature noticeably within the first minutes, which is why modelling packs are used to close a facial after extractions or a peel.
  • Diatomaceous earth gives the powder its absorbent mineral bulk, mopping up surface sebum and loosened debris as the mask hardens — useful on congested T-zones and blackhead-prone noses.
  • Centella asiatica leaf/stem powder (1,000 ppm) and portulaca oleracea (purslane) are the soothing pair, supported by allantoin, for the redness and reactivity that follow a manual facial.
  • Sodium hyaluronate, betaine, trehalose and glucose are humectants held against the skin under the seal, so skin comes out plumped rather than tight — the reason a modelling pack suits dehydrated and sensitive clients as well as oily ones.
  • Hydrolyzed collagen and adenosine sit in the same powder, giving the treatment a firming, smoothing angle alongside the calming one.
  • Free of added fragrance, essential oil and alcohol, and sold as five sealed single-dose sachets — hygienic, portion-controlled and easy to cost per treatment, which is what makes it a practical salon and spa wholesale line rather than a bathroom-shelf item.

When to Use

This is a treatment step, not a daily one. In a salon or spa protocol it belongs at the end of a facial — after cleansing, steaming, extractions, and after a toner and essence have been laid down — as the finishing mask that cools the skin, seals in what was applied and leaves the client calm rather than flushed. It is equally the right mask after waxing or threading of the face, after a shaving irritation, or after a sun-and-heat exposure day, all situations common in a Gulf climate. For home or retail use, once or twice a week is enough. Because the formula contains no acids, retinoids or vitamin C, it can also be scheduled on the same day as an exfoliating step, applied afterwards to settle the skin. Avoid running it on the same visit as another strong occlusive or heating mask.

How to Use

  • Cleanse and tone first, and apply an essence or ampoule if the protocol calls for one — the mask seals whatever is underneath it, so this is where the actives go.
  • Empty one full 30 g sachet into a dry rubber or silicone mixing bowl. Tip the powder in low and slowly rather than dropping it from height, so you do not raise dust.
  • Add water at the ratio Mixsoon publishes for this pack, 1 : 0.6 water to powder — roughly 50 ml of room-temperature or chilled water to a 30 g sachet. Chilled water gives a stronger cooling finish; warm water accelerates the set and shortens your working time.
  • Mix briskly with a spatula for one to two minutes, until it is a smooth, lump-free paste with the thickness of soft yoghurt. Work fast — alginate begins to gel as soon as it is wetted.
  • Apply immediately in a thick, even layer, roughly 3–5 mm, from the jawline upward and outward. Keep clear of the eyes, eyelids and nostrils, and leave the lips uncovered or covered only if the client is comfortable breathing freely. Carry the layer past the jaw onto the upper neck so there is an edge to lift.
  • Leave to set for 15–20 minutes. The sheet is ready when it feels firm, cool and rubbery and no longer tacky to a light touch.
  • Remove by lifting the edge at the neck or jawline and peeling the whole sheet upward in one continuous piece. Do not tear it into fragments — peel with the skin supported by the free hand.
  • Wipe off any residue with a cotton pad or damp sponge, or rinse briefly with lukewarm water, then finish with serum and moisturiser. Discard the used sheet; each sachet is one treatment and mixed paste cannot be kept.

Key Ingredients

  • Algin — the seaweed-derived alginate that is the gelling backbone of the mask; on contact with water and the calcium salt it cross-links into the peelable rubber sheet.
  • Potassium Alginate — the second alginate salt in the system, contributing to the elasticity of the set sheet so it lifts off intact rather than crumbling.
  • Calcium Sulfate — the setting agent; it supplies the calcium ions that trigger alginate gelation and controls how firm the cured mask becomes.
  • Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate — the retarder that holds back the set just long enough to mix and apply the paste evenly.
  • Diatomaceous Earth — fossilised silica powder, the absorbent mineral bulk of the formula; it takes up surface oil and debris as the mask cures.
  • Centella Asiatica Leaf/Stem Powder (1,000 ppm) — cica in its milled plant form, the soothing signature of the Green Cica name, long used in Korean skincare for reactive, post-treatment skin.
  • Portulaca Oleracea (purslane) — a calming, antioxidant-rich botanical that pairs with centella in sensitive-skin formulations.
  • Allantoin — a classic skin-conditioning soother used for redness and rough surface texture.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate — the salt form of hyaluronic acid, the main humectant held against the skin under the occlusive sheet.
  • Hydrolyzed Collagen — low-molecular-weight collagen fragments included as a film-forming, smoothing conditioning agent.
  • Adenosine — a Korean-regulated functional ingredient used for the appearance of fine lines and firmness.
  • Betaine, Trehalose and Glucose — the supporting humectant and sugar system that keeps the finish hydrated rather than stripped.
  • Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf — milled peppermint leaf, contributing to the fresh, cooling character of the set mask.
  • Magnesium Oxide, Cellulose Gum — mineral and cellulose texturisers that control the thickness and cling of the mixed paste.
  • Dehydroacetic Acid — the preservative in the powder; it is not an exfoliating acid.

Precautions

Handle the dry powder with care: this is a fine mineral and alginate dust, so pour it into the bowl slowly at low height and avoid breathing in airborne powder while mixing, and keep the sachets away from children. Do not apply over broken skin, active open lesions, fresh cuts, rashes or sunburn, and keep the mask off the eyelids, out of the eyes and clear of the nostrils. Milled peppermint leaf gives a cooling sensation that some clients find sharp — a brief patch test behind the ear or on the inner forearm is worth doing on very reactive skin, and on anyone with a known mint or Asteraceae sensitivity. Mixsoon advises not blending this powder with other brands' modelling products or activators, as the set can fail. Peel the cured sheet gently in one piece; forcing or tearing it off can drag on the skin. Discontinue use if redness, swelling, itching or any other unusual irritation develops, and consult a professional if it persists. Mixed paste is single-use and cannot be stored. No sun-sensitivity warning applies here — the formula contains no AHA, BHA, retinol or vitamin C.
