Mixsoon's Essential Blending Oil range runs one variant per day of the week, and Friday is the rosewood one - the brand files it under calming, alongside Sunday's lavender, while Monday takes tea tree, Wednesday eucalyptus, Thursday bergamot and Saturday damask rose. Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora) is the point of difference: a soft, woody-floral oil dominated by linalool, warmer and rounder than the sharp conifer and citrus days, and the one the range reaches for at the end of a working week. This is not a stand-alone facial oil - it is a 10ml booster designed to be dosed by the drop into an essence, serum or cream the customer already owns.

Key Benefits

  • Rosewood is the defining note of the Friday variant, positioned by Mixsoon for calming rather than clarifying or brightening - distinct from every other day in the range
  • Blended into a light caprylic/capric triglyceride carrier base, so it disperses into water-based products instead of sitting on top
  • Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) in the range's base formula adds antioxidant support and protects the oil phase
  • Sold at 10ml and used one drop at a time, so a single bottle lasts - a high-margin, low-freight add-on SKU
  • Turns any existing moisturiser or essence into a richer, aromatic night treatment without adding a routine step
  • Collectable seven-day format drives multi-unit baskets and gift sets rather than single-unit purchases
  • Fits the growing MENA appetite for aromatherapy-adjacent skincare and evening ritual products

When to Use

Evening, as the last step or mixed into the last step. Add it to a night cream, a facial oil or a rich essence when skin feels tight and the day has been long, or when a customer wants an aromatic wind-down ritual attached to their skincare. Within the seven-day range Friday is the end-of-week calming day. Avoid using it in the morning under sunscreen and makeup - essential-oil-heavy products sit better at night. Not suitable as a leave-on on actively inflamed, broken or acne-flaring skin.

How to Use

Start with a single drop. Dispense one drop into the palm together with your essence, serum, facial oil or night cream, mix with a fingertip, then press the blend over the face. Increase gradually to two or three drops only if the skin tolerates it. Do not apply the blending oil neat and undiluted over the whole face, and keep it away from the eye area. Mixsoon recommends testing on the wrist first, because the formula carries a high proportion of essential oil and individual skin reacts differently. Nightly or a few evenings a week, as preferred.

Key Ingredients

  • Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora wood oil) - the essential oil that defines the Friday variant; a linalool-rich, soft woody-floral oil used for its calming aromatic character
  • Linalool - the dominant naturally occurring constituent of rosewood oil, and a declarable fragrance allergen on EU-aligned labelling
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride - the carrier base across the whole Essential Blending Oil range; a light coconut-derived emollient that dilutes the essential oil and helps it disperse
  • Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E) - antioxidant included in the range's base formula
  • Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil - linoleic-acid-rich seed oil used in the range's carrier base in some variants

Precautions

This is a high-essential-oil product and should be treated as one. It contains no retinoid, AHA, BHA or vitamin C, so it does not itself photosensitise the way a citrus-led variant might - but keep it to evening use and keep daily sunscreen in the routine. Always dilute: one drop into an existing product, never neat over the whole face. Test on the wrist or inner forearm 24 hours before first facial use, as Mixsoon itself advises. Rosewood oil is naturally rich in linalool, a recognised fragrance allergen, so it is not suitable for customers with known fragrance or essential-oil sensitivity, and should be avoided on actively inflamed, broken or eczema-affected skin and around the eyes. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice, and not for use on children. Keep away from the eyes and rinse with water if contact occurs. Store below 30 C in the dark and keep the cap closed - essential oils and their carrier base oxidise in heat and light, which is a real shelf-life issue in Gulf retail. Discontinue immediately if redness, itching or burning develops. Sourcing note: Mixsoon does not publish a full INCI list for the Friday (rosewood) variant on any source we could access. The rosewood identity and calming positioning are confirmed by Mixsoon's own product page title and by OLIVE YOUNG Global; the carrier-base ingredients described above are taken from the published lists of sibling variants in the same range (Sunday/lavender, Thursday/bergamot and Tuesday), which all share the caprylic/capric triglyceride and tocopheryl acetate base. Confirm the exact Friday INCI with the supplier before printing regulated labelling.
