Most sheet masks open their ingredient list with water. This one opens with centella asiatica extract - the Jeju-grown soothing plant sits ahead of water in the INCI order, which tells you where the money went. From there Mixsoon layers the three things a compromised barrier actually needs: a lipid (ceramide NP), a ferment (bifida ferment lysate) and humectants that hold water at several depths (sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, ectoin, glycereth-26). Five sheets of 30g essence on a biodegradable cotton-processed carrier, built for skin that has been stripped by over-cleansing, sun, harsh actives, waxing or a hard climate.

When to Use

Evening, after cleansing and toner, before cream. This is a recovery mask rather than a routine one: use it when the barrier is visibly compromised - tightness, stinging on application of ordinary products, patchy flaking, post-sun redness, after facial waxing or shaving, after a chemical peel or a too-aggressive retinol week, or on skin that has been cycling between desert heat and heavy air conditioning. One to three times a week during a recovery phase; keep the rest of the box for the next flare. It also works as a pre-event calming step for sensitive skin before makeup.

How to Use

• Cleanse, then apply toner so the skin is damp.
• Unfold one sheet and position it over the face, adjusting around the eyes, nose and mouth for full contact.
• Leave on 10-20 minutes.
• Remove and pat the remaining essence into the face, neck and any dry patches - do not rinse.
• Seal with a barrier cream. One sheet per use; five single-use sheets per box.

Precautions

The formula contains no retinoid, AHA, BHA or vitamin C, so it adds no photosensitivity - but if the reason you are using it is post-peel or post-retinol recovery, the underlying treatment does, so keep sunscreen strict. Each 30g sheet is single-use; discard after one application. Avoid the eyes and the area immediately around them, and do not apply over open, weeping or broken skin. Citrus nobilis peel extract and centella are the two likeliest sensitisers here, so patch test on the inner forearm before first use and discontinue if stinging, redness or swelling develops; consult a dermatologist if symptoms persist. Store the sealed sachets below 30 C away from direct sunlight - the ceramide and ferment content makes heat exposure in transit or on shelf a real shelf-life concern for Gulf and North African distribution.
