Thursday is by a wide margin the most active sheet in Mixsoon's seven-day mask rotation, and the only one that should carry a genuine usage warning. Where the other days append two or three supporting actives to the range's shared hydrating base, Thursday appends thirteen ingredients including encapsulated-style retinol, five separate peptides — acetyl hexapeptide-8, copper tripeptide-1, oligopeptide-29, oligopeptide-32 and palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 — plus ceramide NP, tocopheryl acetate and mung bean seed extract. That is a firming and line-smoothing formula of a kind usually sold as a standalone ampoule, delivered on a 20ml sheet. The supporting cast is not decoration either: ceramide NP and hydrogenated lecithin are there to keep the barrier intact while the retinol works, and vitamin E acts as an antioxidant partner. Supplied as ten sheets, this is the range's premium anti-ageing SKU and the one that justifies the set's price positioning — but it is also the one that needs correct customer briefing.

Key Benefits

  • True retinol, on a sheet mask. A recognised gold-standard ingredient for the look of fine lines, texture and firmness, which is genuinely uncommon in a mass-market mask format.
  • A five-peptide firming complex. Signal and carrier peptides working alongside the retinol for a firmer, smoother-looking surface.
  • Barrier protection built in. Ceramide NP and hydrogenated lecithin support the skin barrier that retinoids typically stress — a well-considered inclusion rather than a marketing line.
  • Antioxidant support. Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) stabilises the formula and works well in combination with retinol.
  • Cushioned delivery. Caprylic/capric triglyceride and polyglyceryl-10 myristate give the essence a richer, more emollient feel than the other days in the range.
  • Full hydrating base underneath. Niacinamide, panthenol, adenosine and allantoin mean the actives land on hydrated, supported skin.
  • Clear premium positioning. The obvious sheet to lead with for mature-skin and anti-ageing customers, and the strongest single-day upsell in the line.

When to Use

Evening only. Retinol degrades in sunlight and increases sun sensitivity, so this sheet should never be used as a daytime mask. Apply after cleansing and toning, before serum and moisturiser. Start at once a week and build up gradually to no more than twice a week as tolerance develops — this is not a sheet for daily use, and customers who are new to retinoids should be told so at point of sale. It is aimed at loss of firmness, fine lines, rough or uneven texture and generally mature or sun-stressed skin. Do not use it on the same night as an exfoliating acid treatment, a prescription retinoid or another retinol product, and where the rest of the range is in rotation, follow it with the hydrating Saturday sheet rather than another active day.

How to Use

  • Cleanse and tone in the evening; leave skin damp but not wet.
  • Unfold the sheet, remove the backing film and lay it across the face, matching the eye and mouth openings.
  • Smooth outward from the centre so the sheet sits flush, taking care to keep it clear of the immediate eye area and the lips.
  • Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes — shorter than the hydrating days in the range, particularly for the first few uses.
  • Remove and pat the remaining essence in gently. Do not rinse, and do not massage vigorously.
  • Follow with a plain, fragrance-free moisturiser. Begin at once weekly and increase slowly to a maximum of twice weekly. Sunscreen the following morning is mandatory.

Key Ingredients

  • Retinol (Vitamin A) — Thursday's defining active and the only retinoid in the seven-day range. The most evidenced cosmetic ingredient for the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture and slack-looking skin. Requires gradual introduction.
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline) — a neuropeptide used cosmetically to soften the look of expression lines.
  • Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) — a well-known copper peptide used for firmer, smoother-looking, better-conditioned skin.
  • Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 (Matrixyl) — a lipidated signal peptide widely used in anti-ageing formulation for the appearance of firmness.
  • Oligopeptide-29 and Oligopeptide-32 — short supporting peptides that round out the firming complex.
  • Ceramide NP — a skin-identical lipid that reinforces the moisture barrier, included specifically to offset the drying tendency of retinol.
  • Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) — antioxidant and skin-conditioning agent that partners well with retinol.
  • Phaseolus Radiatus (Mung Bean) Seed Extract — a traditional Korean botanical used for soothing and conditioning.
  • Hydrogenated Lecithin and Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate — phospholipid emulsifiers that help disperse the oil-soluble retinol and vitamin E evenly through the essence.
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride — a light coconut-derived emollient that carries the oil-soluble actives and softens the finish.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) — the shared workhorse across the Daily Mask range, supporting a more even-looking tone and a better-functioning moisture barrier.
  • Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) — humectant and skin-conditioning agent that leaves stressed, tight-feeling skin calmer and more comfortable.
  • Adenosine — Korea's MFDS-recognised wrinkle-care functional ingredient, present in every sheet in the line.
  • Allantoin — classic soothing and skin-softening agent for reactive skin.
  • Trehalose and Betaine — osmolyte humectants that hold water in the upper layers without the sticky finish of heavier glycols.
  • Glycerin and Methylpropanediol — the hydrating solvent base that carries the essence into skin.
  • 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone and Ethylhexylglycerin — the gentle, paraben-free preservation system.

Precautions

This sheet contains retinol and must be treated accordingly. Retinol increases the skin's sensitivity to sunlight: use it in the evening only, and apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning after use — a non-negotiable point in high-UV MENA markets. Introduce it gradually, starting at one sheet a week, and expect possible mild dryness, flaking or tightness in the first weeks; reduce frequency if that occurs. Do not combine on the same evening with AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, high-strength vitamin C or any other retinoid product, and do not use it on skin that is sunburned, waxed, freshly shaved, broken or actively inflamed. Retinoids are generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding; customers should consult a doctor before use. Keep clear of the immediate eye area and lips. Store away from heat and direct sunlight, which degrade retinol. Not appropriate for children. Patch test a small area behind the ear or on the inner forearm before first full use, and discontinue immediately if redness, stinging or itching develops. Discontinue if irritation persists beyond the initial adjustment period.
