Friday is the brightening sheet in Mixsoon's day-of-the-week mask rotation, and it is the one the range positions for the end of the working week — the point at which skin looks greyest and most uneven. Every mask in the line is built on the same hydrating, barrier-supporting essence of niacinamide, panthenol, adenosine, allantoin, trehalose and betaine; what separates one day from the next is the short tail of day-specific actives, and Friday's tail is alpha-arbutin paired with sea buckthorn fruit extract. That is a deliberately gentle approach to tone: alpha-arbutin works slowly and cumulatively on the look of dark spots and post-blemish marks without the sting or instability of a high-dose vitamin C, which makes it a far easier sell into sensitive and melanin-rich skin. When to Use

Best used in the evening, after cleansing and toning and before your serum and moisturiser, two to three times a week — or on Friday, if the customer is following the range as intended. It is aimed squarely at uneven skin tone, dullness, sun-induced dark spots and the brown marks left behind after breakouts clear, all of which are high-frequency concerns across the Gulf and wider MENA market. It also works well as a recovery step after a day of strong sun or air-conditioned dehydration. Because there are no exfoliating acids in the formula, it can be used on the same evenings as a gentle retinoid routine, though space the two apart within the routine and introduce them one at a time.

How to Use

• Cleanse and tone, then pat the skin until it is just damp.
• Unfold the sheet, remove the backing film and smooth it onto the face from the centre outward, pressing out air bubbles around the nose and jaw.
• Leave on for 10 to 20 minutes. Do not let the sheet dry out on the skin.
• Remove and discard the sheet, then pat the remaining essence into the face and down the neck until absorbed. Do not rinse.
• Follow with serum and moisturiser to seal the hydration in.
• Use two to three times weekly. Apply sunscreen every morning to protect the tone results.

Precautions

Alpha-arbutin is not an exfoliating acid and is not photosensitising, so no sun-sensitivity warning applies to this sheet — but brightening results are quickly undone without daily broad-spectrum SPF, so sunscreen should be sold alongside it as a matter of course. Niacinamide can cause temporary flushing in the small group of users sensitive to it. Sea buckthorn is a botanical extract and, as with any plant-derived ingredient, carries a small allergy risk for those with known berry or plant sensitivities. Single use only — never reuse a sheet or save a partly used one. Avoid the eye area and lips, and do not apply over broken, sunburned or actively inflamed skin. Patch test a small area behind the ear or on the inner forearm before first full use, and discontinue immediately if redness, stinging or itching develops.
