Mixsoon Cicatree Clean Toner

Most tea tree toners in the wholesale market are an alcohol base with a drop of oil for the smell. Mixsoon built this one the other way round: the second-largest botanical input is Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water at a declared 11,760 ppm, backed by Centella Asiatica Extract at 11,640 ppm and only 195 ppm of the neat tea tree essential oil — enough to do the antibacterial work without the stripping and stinging that makes people abandon a clarifying toner in week two. Niacinamide, a low level of betaine salicylate and gluconolactone handle congestion and dead-cell buildup, while panthenol, allantoin and glyceryl glucoside keep the barrier from complaining. It is a clarifying toner for oily and breakout-prone skin that is still usable daily.
Key Benefits
- Declared concentrations, not just marketing: tea tree leaf water at 11,760 ppm and centella asiatica extract at 11,640 ppm are stated on the ingredient label — a transparency point worth putting in front of buyers who are tired of unquantified hero claims.
- Dual gentle exfoliation: betaine salicylate, a milder salicylic acid derivative (BHA) that works inside the pore, paired with gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that resurfaces the skin surface while holding water — a combination far better tolerated than glycolic acid on congested, sensitive skin.
- Tea tree leaf oil at a deliberately restrained 195 ppm targets acne-associated bacteria without the irritation and lingering medicinal smell of a high-oil formula.
- Niacinamide supports oil balance, the look of post-blemish marks and overall tone evenness — the three things oily-skin customers actually complain about after the spots clear.
- Centella asiatica, panthenol, allantoin and dipotassium glycyrrhizate form a proper soothing layer, so this does not behave like a stripping astringent.
- Glyceryl glucoside, sodium hyaluronate, glycerin and butylene glycol keep the skin hydrated through the exfoliation — the step most clarifying toners skip.
- 150ml at a mid-market price point makes this an accessible entry SKU into the Mixsoon range and a natural anchor for an oily and acne-prone-skin shelf in MENA retail, where humidity, sunscreen use and mask wear keep congestion demand high year-round.
When to Use
Morning and evening, immediately after cleansing and before serums, essences and moisturiser. Start at once daily in the evening for the first week if the customer's skin is new to acids, then move to twice daily once tolerance is established. It suits oily, combination and breakout-prone skin, visible or congested pores across the T-zone, rough or bumpy texture, and skin that is oily but still reactive — the group that finds a straight salicylic acid toner too harsh. It is also useful on the back and chest, and as a light post-workout wipe-down in hot weather. Not the right choice for very dry or actively flaking skin, where a plain hydrating toner is the better fit. Do not layer it in the same routine slot as another AHA, BHA or high-strength vitamin C.
How to Use
- Cleanse and pat the skin almost dry.
- Saturate a cotton pad with 2–3 pumps or a generous splash, and sweep outward across the face, avoiding the eye area and lips. Alternatively, press it in with clean palms if you would rather not use a pad.
- Go over congested zones — nose, chin, jaw, forehead — a second time with whatever is left on the pad.
- Do not rinse. Let it absorb for around thirty seconds, then follow with serum and moisturiser.
- Use once daily to begin with, building to twice daily as tolerated. Sunscreen is required every morning while using this product.
Key Ingredients
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water (11,760 ppm) — the hydrosol form of tea tree, carrying the plant's clarifying character in a water-soluble, low-irritation format.
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil (195 ppm) — the concentrated essential oil, used at a low level for antibacterial support against acne-associated bacteria.
- Centella Asiatica Extract (11,640 ppm) — the cica soothing and antioxidant base, present at a level comparable to the tea tree water.
- Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) — brightening, oil-balancing and barrier-supporting; helps the appearance of post-blemish pigmentation.
- Betaine Salicylate — a gentler salicylic acid derivative (BHA), oil-soluble so it can work inside congested pores.
- Gluconolactone — a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that exfoliates the skin surface while acting as a humectant; the large molecule penetrates slowly, which is why PHAs sting less than AHAs.
- Panthenol (Provitamin B5) and Allantoin — soothing, moisturising agents that offset the exfoliating actives.
- Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate — licorice root derivative used for calming redness-prone skin.
- Glyceryl Glucoside — a sugar-linked glycerin derivative used as a deeper-acting moisturiser.
- Sodium Hyaluronate — the salt form of hyaluronic acid, binding water at the skin surface.
- Sodium Citrate and Citric Acid — pH buffer system, keeping the formula in the range where betaine salicylate and gluconolactone stay effective and comfortable.
- Xanthan Gum and C12-14 Alketh-12 — texture and solubiliser, keeping the tea tree oil dispersed in the water base.
Precautions
This toner contains betaine salicylate, a BHA, and gluconolactone, a PHA. Chemical exfoliants can increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight, so daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is not optional while using this product and for a week after stopping — a point worth reinforcing on the shelf in high-UV MENA markets, and a natural pairing with a high-SPF SKU. Do not stack it in the same routine with another AHA, BHA, high-strength vitamin C or a prescription retinoid without spacing them to alternate days or alternate times of day; over-exfoliation presents as tightness, shine-free flakiness, stinging on application and paradoxically more breakouts. Tea tree oil is a recognised contact sensitiser in a minority of users, and oxidised tea tree oil is more sensitising than fresh, so keep bottles capped, stored below 25°C and out of direct sunlight, and observe stock rotation strictly — this is a formula where warehouse heat genuinely degrades quality. Avoid the eye area, lips and any broken or freshly shaved skin. Patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours before first facial use, particularly for customers with eczema, rosacea or known essential-oil sensitivities, and discontinue use if redness, burning, itching or swelling develops. Not intended to treat or cure acne as a medical condition — persistent or cystic acne should be referred to a dermatologist.
