Precautions

This one is alcohol-based and stays on the scalp, so it is the wrong product for an already dry, tight or eczema-prone scalp, and it should never go onto broken skin, scratches or open sores. It does contain salicylic acid: because the product is rubbed along exposed partings, those visible strips of scalp and any thinning areas can be slightly more sun-sensitive on the day of use, so cover the head or keep out of strong midday sun.
