Precautions

Apply to the hair, not the scalp. The cationic quats and silicones that make this conditioner work are designed for the strand; worked into the roots they flatten the hair and can congest an oily or acne-prone scalp. Contains hydrolyzed wheat protein — flag it for customers who react to wheat-derived cosmetics — and sweet almond oil, a tree-nut-derived ingredient relevant to severe nut allergies. Licorice root extract is soothing for most users but is a known sensitiser for a small minority. The formula is fragranced. There are no AHA, BHA, retinoid or vitamin C actives in this conditioner, so sun-sensitivity precautions do not apply. Avoid eye contact and rinse thoroughly with water if it occurs. Patch test behind the ear before first full use on sensitive customers, and discontinue if scalp redness, itching or irritation develops.
